Rann Of Kutch Itinerary

Day 1: Ahmedabad to Dholavira. Visit sunset point and fossil park in the evening. Overnight in Dholavira

Depart from Ahmedabad towards Dholavira, a renowned archaeological site of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. Experience the mesmerizing sunset at Sunset Point and explore the Fossil Park, where you can marvel at the fossilized tree. Estimated to be around 180 million years old, dating back to the Jurassic Period, these fossils provide a fascinating glimpse into ancient geological history and the flora that existed during that time.
Day 2: Visit the Indus Valley site in the morning. After that, travel from Dholavira to Dhordo via Road to Heaven. Visit Kala Dungar en route. Overnight in Dhordo

Begin your day with a visit to the Indus Valley archaeological site in Dholavira in the morning, exploring remnants of an ancient civilization. Afterwards, embark on a scenic journey from Dholavira to Dhordo via the picturesque “Road to Heaven.” Along the way, stop at Kala Dungar (Black Hill), the highest point in Kutch, for panoramic views. Overnight stay in Dhordo.
Day 3: Visit Nirona Village in the morning and meet the local artisan families who practice Rogan painting, lacquered art work and make copper bells. In the evening, visit the Rann Utsav at Dhordo. Overnight in Dhordo

Later in the evening, experience the lively atmosphere of the Rann Utsav at Dhordo, where you can enjoy cultural performances, indulge in local cuisine, and marvel at the expansive white desert landscape under the starry sky. Overnight stay in Dhordo.
Day 4: Dhordo to Ahmedabad drop via Bhujodi.

Depart from Dhordo and travel to Ahmedabad via Bhujodi. Along the way, stop in Bhujodi, a village renowned for its rich textile heritage and skilled artisans known as Vankars, who specialize in traditional weaving techniques. Visit the home of a Vankar to learn firsthand about the intricate art of weaving, passed down through generations. Immerse yourself in the craftsmanship as they demonstrate their techniques and share insights into the cultural significance of their work. If time permits, consider visiting Hiralaxmi Craft Park, where you can witness live demonstrations by local artisans and explore a museum showcasing Kutchi handicrafts and textiles. Additionally, you might visit the earthquake museum in Bhuj to learn about the devastating earthquake of 2001 and its impact on the region. Afterward, continue your journey to Ahmedabad.

20 days before the event start date: No Refund
20- 40 days before the event start date: 50% Refund
Before 40 days of the event start date: 75% Refund
